Kleinfelder Acquires Poggemeyer Design Group
Acquisition expands Kleinfelder’s service footprint in strategic geographies
Chicago, IL, October 14, 2020 – Wind Point Partners (“Wind Point”) and portfolio company The Kleinfelder Group, Inc. (“Kleinfelder”), a leading engineering, construction management, design, and environmental professional services firm, are pleased to announce that Kleinfelder has acquired Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. (“PDG” or “the Company”). The acquisition bolsters Kleinfelder’s existing service offerings and accelerates growth in new geographic areas.
Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Bowling Green, Ohio, PDG provides a full suite of design and engineering services including environmental, transportation, civil, structural, forensic, mechanical, and electrical solutions. The Company’s capabilities also include land surveying, architectural services, government construction management, and economic development and project finance consulting services. In addition, PDG operates a water and wastewater services division offering laboratory testing and on call service technicians in several states. With over 50 years of experience and strong customer relationships, PDG serves a diverse range of end markets including the commercial, government, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors. PDG principally operates in the Midwest and Nevada with 10 office locations.

PDG represents the third acquisition for Kleinfelder since partnering with Wind Point in November 2018.
