Wind Point invests in manufacturer and supplier of critical waterworks infrastructure products

Chicago, Ill., April 10, 2025 – Wind Point Partners (“Wind Point”), a Chicago-based private equity firm, announced today that it has partnered with Sigma Companies International Corp. (“Sigma” or the “Company”). Founded in 1985, Sigma manufactures and supplies waterworks infrastructure products including fittings, pipe restraints, municipal construction castings, polymer enclosures and accessories for the water, wastewater and other critical infrastructure sectors. Headquartered in Cream Ridge, N.J., Sigma operates an expansive North American network, utilizing 14 strategically-located facilities to serve over 1,800 customer locations across the United States and Canada.

Wind Point is partnering with Sigma management, led by CEO Victor Pais, President Larry Rybacki and Vice Chairman Siddharth Bhattacharji. Under their leadership, the Company has experienced substantial growth by strategically implementing organic expansion initiatives and prioritizing exceptional customer service. Sigma’s senior leadership team will continue with the business and has retained a meaningful ownership stake alongside Wind Point. Together, Wind Point and Sigma intend to expand on this track record with an organic and M&A-driven growth strategy oriented around the Company’s current end markets.

Wind Point evaluated Sigma in partnership with Frank Firsching, who has joined Sigma’s Board as Chair. Mr. Firsching, a member of Wind Point’s Executive Advisor Partner (“EAP”) program, most recently served as CEO of Critica Infrastructure, a prior Wind Point portfolio company and supplier of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (“MRO”) composite solutions for municipal water supply systems and oil and gas transmission. This role followed over 30 years of experience as an executive in the water and pipeline infrastructure industries with Aegion, Underground Solutions, Siemens Water Technologies, Veolia and USFilter.
