Stewardship

We seek to be strong stewards of capital, companies and relationships

Social responsibility is important to our team and partners

As stewards of significant capital and companies, our influence is far-reaching and we embrace the opportunity to be a positive driver of change

Wind Point is committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations throughout our investment process. From initial diligence through acquisition and exit, we seek to incorporate measurable and actionable initiatives to both mitigate risk and enhance investment returns, while leaving a positive and enduring impact on our companies, stakeholders and local communities.

We believe the performance of our investments can be impacted, both positively and negatively, by ESG factors. As part of our formalized program, we seek to incorporate ESG considerations into our due diligence process. These considerations also serve as a foundation to drive further engagement, measurement and reporting throughout the life of our investments.

We focus on supporting ESG responsibility at the portfolio company level, where initiatives can have the broadest impact. We partner with our portfolio company leadership teams to identify initiatives which support the goals of each company.

As a signatory to the Institutional Limited Partners Association ESG Data Convergence Initiative, we have a useful framework for benchmarking and reporting progress across the portfolio.

Wind Point utilizes an ESG Committee, comprised of professionals with varying roles and responsibilies at the firm, to steer our ESG program through a constantly evolving and dynamic environment.

The ESG committee meets regularly and is tasked with ESG program strategy, design and implementation, as well as communicating best practices throughout the firm and portfolio. With the support of the Wind Point team, our executive advisors and portfolio company leadership teams, Wind Point is committed to continuous improvement on ESG matters and maintaining alignment with our top priority – delivering strong risk adjusted returns for our investors.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

DEI supports stronger and more valuable businesses with broader pools of talent and perspectives.  Our efforts serve to strengthen our firm, our portfolio companies and our communities.
